Ok heres the deal i bought a hypertech power programmer off of ebay for $155 dollars i thought it was a good deal well i went to go program my car and the guy i bought it off of didnt remove the his stock program so now i cant program my car... so heres the question i know i am not the only one dumb enough on this planet to do this so i was wondering if any of you have had this problem and know how to get one to work i e-mailed hypertech and they said that the only alternative is to buy a new one if this is the only thing i can do i will just do the pcm for less thing.

I vaguely recall that someone had figured out how to remove the vin lock on the HPP and charged a small fee for that service,
BUT you'd be much better off with pcmforless.com or madz28.com anyways. I suggest you cut your losses now and just just some real tuning. Report the jerk that sold it to you to ebay and leave him some negative feedback with an explaination of how he ripped you off.

good luck,

That may be a significantly misrepresented item since it is not in working order. I'd be f#@$@n !! !!
