Rebuild questions

I just found out that I spun a rod bearing. I actually ruined the crank also. Now, I am looking for a rebuild kit. I think that I am actually going to piece together a kit. I was wanting to ask about a rebuild kit that can be purchased out of summit. I wanted to inquire about the speed pro rebuild kit for $539.99. It comes with Speed Pro forged pistons, rings, bearings, etc. I have to buy a crank and rods seperate, but that's ok. I was wondering if the pistons in the kit are very heavy and if they are of good quality. Or, if anyone else has any ideas, then feel free to express them. I am not stroking the motor, the cylinder walls are in too good of shape and I will just have them honed for the new rings. Any information is appreciatted.

In general the most economical way to do a rebuild is to buy a complete "kit" with all of the small parts and a balanced rotating assy. If you buy separate parts you will need to have everything balanced and the total cost will be higher. The Speed Pro stuff will be as good as the OEM.

Well, I would buy a complete kit, but I know of a place where I can get a scat crank and h-beam rods for cheap. I want a kit that is better than oem, cuz the stock stuff didnt hold up. I want to spray on the car (150 maybe 175). Where is the best place to get a complete kit?

Come on guys, I need your help!! I want to have the car back together ASAP. But I am going to take the block to the machine shop here soon to see what needs to be done with that. But I need some suggestions, I don't want to have to guess.

I will spray 150 probably. I figured a scat crank, h-beam rods, and forged pistons would be just fine. Am I wrong? I want to know how much heavier those speed pro forged pistons are vs. SRP and JE pistons. Any help is appreciated.
