Where to purchase a new oil pump?

94 LT1.

GM lists two different pickup assemblies, one larger than the other, but one oil pump.

Is this new information on LT4 vs LT1 differences?

Any suggestions on where to get a stock pressure stock flow oil pump? Is this a good dealer item?

Thanks in advance.

Actually, they list 2 pumps and each has a screen that matches.

If you want the one with the larger pickup tube (.742 diameter), get

oil pump screen 12550042

oil pump 12555283

This is what was used on the LT1 1995-1997.

Could this be why these cavitation issues are happening on pre 95 models?!?!?!?!?

if i remember right, with the canton pan, all you have to do is get a mounting bolt. it has been a long while since i have read anything on the subject. check out racenet.net, they have all the info you need.
