That is kickass! Very nice. Can't wait to hear price and availability. As long as it's reasonable, I'm in.

Looks pretty ugly to me... I wouldn't sport it just cause it says AEM... The company that makes ricer $hit

Right. If it is truly a wideband O2 that is comes with and doesn't sell for the usual outrageous AEM price then you wouldn't have it? Come on. It's not like we are talking about APC here.

hehe well I already have a wideband setup for one, two it's still a ricer company

I mean it's looks pretty cool. I would have to take it apart and like cover up the AEM logo or something to be self satisfied with putting it in my car

The LM-1, right? The current (Feb.) issue of Car Craft has a write up on it. I'm a little tempted by it myself.

I've been watching the LM-1 since it first came out. I like it, but the handheld thing is kind of a turn off because it looks very distracting if you want to watch it and drive. VERY nice feature with the logging capability though. I just happened to buy the magazine with the write-up recently, and it's looking good so far.

I really like the wide band/gauge combo though. Puts what you're reading right there in your face where you can keep an eye on it while driving. Personally, I like it more because if you notice something funny, you're more apt to take notice of the immediate conditions and what's going on rather than trying to remember what was going on at home on your computer looking at the logged screen from the LM-1.

as I recall from the CC article, the thing was still $350...while pretty good for a WB O2 system, I still didn't have that kind of dough,so...

This was put together by some of the members of the GMECM/DIY-EFI mailing list. The instructions are pretty easy to follow, and you come out with about $100-$200 total depending on what parts you use and if you want an LCD readout. Pretty cool and you get to build stuff

Yeah.....I just did some searching around on the price of that wide band 2 1/16" gauge. Ouch. www.horsepowerfreaks.com has it listed MSRP of $621.88. Says call for clearance price. Ouch.

The LM-1 does offer a remote gauge (for additional cost), so you dont have to monitor the the box. And the LM1 has a built in data logger with included software and all neccessary cables. If you want to log additional features like rpm, TPS, MAP, so on, there's an additional imput box available (again, for an additional cost) that will will allow you to show many sensor inputs on a single timed graph. Very sweet and simple - especially for someone like me, who's not a tech guy.

IMO - Even after buying the add ons, you get a lot more for your dollar with the LM-1 than the AEM piece.

If any of these wideband has an output of just straight voltage it would be pretty easy to hook up to datamaster/freescan.. and then you could get a rpm/vs afr which is what your really need. Although just by watching a gauge you could probably figure it out pretty well too.

I'm ready to order one of these new setups. I could use it in my Trans Am, GTP, and even my brother's mercury capri 5.0 to get the carb adjusted correctly!!

Doesn't sound like the LM-1 to me.

It's not the LM-1 I was talking about. I was talking about the gauge shown at the beginning of the thread. The LM-1 is only $350.
