cant get this damn bracket off

Exclamation cant get this damn bracket off

its the black bracket that holds the alternator and is on the stud/bolt that is in the passenger side manifold. anyone know which Im talking about?

i cant get a wrench or socket down there, and want to know if there are any tricks. damn AC and smog **** in the way

I used a box end wrench the first/last/only time I pulled it off. Time to get headers and junk it .

Yeah, like they said, trial and error. Pull out all the AIR stuff you can, and try to get a wrench on it. Then throw it in the dumpster once its off

still wrestling with it...what size is the nut/bolt? I Dont wanna wrestle with it to end up with the wrong wrench

I used a SMALL socket + a long "mushroom" extension so the extension could pivot in the socket. Worked great.

* I guess 14 does work, really tight though. 9/16 would be better... Oh yea, nevermind
