Do I need a taller tire?

At the track ive noticed after I put my 3.73s in im VERY close to going into overdrive, sometimes right when i go through the traps it shifts into OD.

So I hooked up the LT1 to datamaster yesterday and it showed at 3rd gear @ 5700 RPM i was only going 107. Calculators show I should be at around ~115 @ 5700 RPM...

Im just wondering after I start trapping a little higher what will I need to do... Its like i have a 4.10 in my car lol

Taller tire, or you can drop down to 3.42s

FWIW, the rpm/mph discrepancy is due to converter slippage.

If you don't want to go with a full 28" tire (sometimes has clearance issues), you could look at the Hoosier QTP 27" tires. They're the best hooking drag radial IMO.

So when I get my vigilante converter should these problems go away?
