OPINIONS NEEDED - Suspension Parts
Hey all
Was wondering what your thoughts were on suspension pieces.
Primarily I want to lower my Z (02, All stock). I've done the research and searching and found out most of what I need to know, except....
what brands to buy.
What springs does everyone use? (Mostly Eibach from what I see, but what else is out there?)
I know i'll also need an adjustable PHR, LCA's, LCA Reloc brackets and new shocks. I am also going to add in subframes at the same time.
My question to you is, what brands are good and bad. Whats your personal favourite? What performs well? Any other suggestions/words of wisdom will be appreciated. Share your wealth of information with me! Am leaning more towards a G2 suspension at this point in time.
PLANNED SUSPENSION (Pick me apart please)
Eibach Pro-kit springs
Bilstein HD Shocks
LCA Reloc brackets
G2 LCA's
G2 Single Adj. PHR
G2 Subframes (No-vbrace)
Want to set my car up for mostly street duty. I will only be visiting the strip a few times per year. Love to corner carve, but I also want to be able to hook on a launch.
Also.. subframes - whats your opinion for a mostly street car? G2 w/v-brace? G2 without v-brace? whats the difference? Kenny Brown Double Diamonds? SLP's? I prefer to keep as much ground clearance as possible.
Thanks in advance all

Sounds like you did your homework. there are 3 things that i woud add to your list of planed upgrades. 1st and 2nd being front and rear sway bars. i just installed my ST front and rear, and all i have to say is WOW, best upgrade for my car todate. the other thing i would add to your list is a STB, they are cheep and you can realy feel a differnce. i went with BMR for that because they are cheep and you can pick you color.
I also went with BMR Tubular sfc's. i went with the Tubular because i didnt want to loose and grond clearance, but after i had them installed the y pipe still hangs much lower then the sfc's do. so i kinda wish i would have went with the boxed.
next up for me is the springs and shocks. (I hope these will be under my x-mass tree this year
) I dont know much about the spring rates and what shocks would work best with each rate, but from what i have read the Eibach Pro-Kit is one of the best set of springs out there. I also plan on getting the panhard bar and bolt-in brackets. so i think im going to get the lowering package from thunderracing. (link to Lowering Package)
and finaly for the shocks, i was looking at ether the Bilsteins, or the SA koni's. i havent realy researched what set would be better yet.
hope that helps some.

I just put on KYB AGX single adjustable shocks and Eibach Pro-Kit springs on my car. I bought it with Sportlines which were low enough that I couldn't make it out of my driveway without scraping. I also put on a BMR STB at the same time and it made a huge difference.
Car didn't and still doesn't have an adjustable panhard rod so I'm going to make one of those to install when I put on the LCA relocation brackets and subframe connectors in a few weeks.
BlkZ2Die4 I'm in the same boat as you with connector choice and ground clearance. I'm leaning towards the SLP weld in model. Anybody with a lowered car running (or dragging???) these?
