installed bilstein hd's: slightly disappointed

i installed some bilstein hd's which replaced 130,000 mile original decarbons. i have no other suspension mods. anyways i would not reccomend them for any sort of performance application. definitely go with revalved bilsteins or konis. the compression and rebound are quite a bit softer than what i was expecting. they did cut down on body roll a bit and the rebound is better. if you are purchasing the hd's for a daily driver without any real sporting intention they are better than the factory shocks and for $285 are inexpensive. hopefully a 35mm front way will help things out a bit.

Yes, they are not a monstrous change, but a very good change. For me, anything with a stiffer shock would be pretty annoying in a daily driver. I'm also waiting on the 35mm ST bar, which should make a big difference.

they made a world of difference on my car, but im lowered. worked great in the mountains, i love them. but the best part about them is they can be rebuilt and revalved at a later date. so i made a small change at first. ill see about revalving them later. sorry you didnt like them so much. trey
