I was once told that alot of cheap after market rims are not as strong as the stock rims. For this reason I have been looking to buy a set of rims from a C5 vette, Ill get the stock strenght, fairly cheap, and they will be 17" with good width too. Can someone tell me if these are the cheap rims I have been warned about?

Im guessing they are due to the price, there is a guy in the for sale section selling a set so I figured I would check them out.

 

Lots of people use wheels from AFS without a problem. I haven't used them myself, but I would get them rather than overpay for stockers. The OEM wheels are decent quality, but way overpriced.

I own a pair of AFS 17x11's and they are great. Won them off eBay and brand new, perfect condition. All I use them for are autocross so they take abuse but no problems.
