Is it worth getting a cutout???

I'm thinking of getting a electric cutout for my car. But i already have a hooker catback. So is it worth spending the money on one if i already have a catback? Also i'm gonna be doing the a single cat conversion pretty soon when i get my as&m headers. Will i have to reinstall my cutout after i do the headers? Because i know you have to get a S-pipe to do the conversion so i'm not sure i'm gonna have to take off the cutout and get it rewelded to a new spot.

I was just gonna post this question. I have slowmaster cat-backs but youwant the cutout before the muffler right not the catz. Or am I wrong?

I dont know about the Flowmaster but I have seen 8rwhp gain on a dyno with a cutout over a Hooker catback.

Easy with the "Slowmaster" stuff I don't think mine knows I'm running 12.25 THROUGH it (with no cut-out).
I have been told by quite a few that a cut-out is good for 1/10, though. Hmm....12.15?

The cutout really helps my car out. Sounds good too.

I have mine right after the cat, sure does vibrate any change in the cup holder, and is loud as hell for the passinger (sp?)

Frank, You gonna break into the 11s soon? That's one hell of a car you got.

Love mine. It sounds great, and gives a nice gain for the money (not counting the cash the electric valve costs). I wish I just saved the money I payed for the hooker and went with the cutout. On second thought, I wish I hadn't spent the money on the Qtec because I haven't closed it yet, it just sounds too good.

I picked up 7RWH on the dyno NA with it open. So I'd say it's worth it.

I just got my QTEC installed last week. Let me say MAC headers and their offraod y-pipe with the cutout sounds AWESOME. Haven't closed it yet!!

I installed mine a bit down from where the y-pipe ends, almost where the intermediate pipe bends up to clear the axle. It was really the only spot where it would fit. It also gave me room to rotate the outlet of the cutout to the left so it wouldn't affect my ground clearance. I might try to get some pics up over the weekend,

I would definitly get a cut out, but I would not waste your money on the electric one. I have heard many stories of them malfunctioning. They also have been known to rattle a hell of a lot.

$70 for 5 rwhp + little bit of elbow grease = cheap HP.
