Well the thing is i have to get an electric because here in california(well at least where i live) the cops will hassle you about the noise. So i only wanna open it when i'm gonna race. Or when i just wanna be loud. But i can't leave it open all the time.

Did mine myself with a Sawzall. Cost about 30 min. of my time and not a speck of cash. Did it on the intermediate pipe right before it turns to go up over the axle. Basically just a strait pipe right back from the Cat. I left the top 20% of the current exhaust connected so that the entire exhaust stayed in tact and didn't rattle or shake around. Everything on the car looks all stock to everyone until I fire her up....watching the faces go from smiles to fear cracks me up every time. Definately worth the money and/or time. Sounds great and nice increase in performance.

I don't remember the names of the two companies with elect. cutouts. From what I've heard one companies cutout screws up shortly after install. The other works like a champion. Some other's could get more specific for you.

Think it would be worth it to ditch my single cat and put a cutout in its place?

Nah I wouldn't bother. Just keep your cat and add the cutout after it. The cat's on our cars flow pretty well. If you absolutely think you don't need a cat either chop it off and have a pipe welded in, or take it off and gut it.
