As far as i can tell thats what you need. You could double check with summit, as they have good support and can get the part you need.

If your car is driven daily or on the highway at all, i would not recommend Richmond Gears. They will make more noise than any other gear set.
I would check with Motive, Precision, or Strange for a 3.73 for 2 series carrier.

Yeah, just be sure that your 3 series gears are made for a 2 series carrier.
Basically the ring gear is thicker so it will work.

you say the ring gear is a little thicker...then if i were to get some with the ring gear not as thick, i could make the difference up with a ring gear spacer right?

thanks again,
steve

My car still has a 2 series carrier and I bought three series gears. The difference in size is more than a little, it's a decent amount. I had to reorder 3.73's in 2 series, becuase they were no where near fitment.

I have had the Richmond's for about 10,000 miles so far and no whine at all. The key is in the setup. And, the Richmond gears are cut a little sharper and a little stronger. Get them, you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you toke them somewhere that knows what they are doing.
