Fernco/ Slp Smooth bellows ???'s

Ok Guys.... I did a search but didnt find the answers. I know there is debate over whether or not it is a worthwhile mod but it cant hurt.

Here are my questions?

When going with a Fernco adapter what do you do to make a provision for the opti venting tube????

I have a Z06 85mm MAF will a 3 inch Fernco work or is it going to be too small??

Thanks in advance,

Shawn

I'm using the Z06 MAF with a Fernco piece... and yes.. I would pop a hole into it for the Opti-Venting....

Yep, just poked a hole in side of the Fernco with an awl, and was able to get a good tight fit with the Opti vent hose.

The 85mm MAF is 3.33" diameter, so you might have to soften the Fernco a little extra - heat it in hot water in a pot. Gonna be a tight fit. For $5 its worth a try.

Rather than poke a hole in the Fernco, I drilled a small hole in the airbox, under the filter of course, and put the right size rubber grommet in there, then put a straight vacuum connector of the right size in it.

Opti vent next to AIR connection on airbox

I need to update that photo.... the AIR connection seems to have lost its hose, and added a 5/8" vacuum cap
