What year is your car? Use a sawzall to cut the stock intermediate pipe. After the install tighten the nuts once you drive it and heta up the pipes. The passenger side hanger needs to be bent a bit to attach to the new pipe.

If you don't want to cut the I-pipe, you can remove it by removing the panhard bar and the brace below it. Just let the rear end hang down after you support the car on jack stands. You will also need to take the heat shield off. The instructions say you need to unbolt one side of the shocks and drop the rear end, but that is not neccesary. It is all quite easy and I think it is worth it to save the I-pipe.

Also, watch the clearance of the pipe where it goes up over the axle. I hope you got the adapter kit from SLP for the S-pipe on the 93-5. The adapter kit for the 96-97 is not really required though. It should all be an easy install for you.

I would say to make sure you have some money in your pocket after you install the LM because you are going to want to drive around alot and will need money to fill up

Talking Loudmouth In

Install went as good as it can. I had it on my Bro-in-law's lift saws-alled it at the axle, unbolted it dropped right out. Unbolted at the cat, dropped right out. Put the new one right it snug fit-it adjusted it a bit, secured it, and tack welded all the joints. Just under 45 minutes total time. Not bad for a begginer huh?

I have the stumble poor idle problem as well so I decided to do the o2s while I was there. The drivers side was a snap, but holy cow the passenger side took almost 1.5 hours, finally took a bolt cutter to it, got the sob out finally. As a side note the o2s did not fix the idle problem, but hey, they are 100k old so what the hell, one less thing to go bad on me. Trying TPS, Map sensers next. Scan tool says tps voltage is erratic.

Anyway I love my loudmouth nice and deep at idle, look out at WOT, music to my ears. Definately a double thumbs up & I highly reccommend it to all who are considering a cat-back

Sorry for the the post but had to reach out about my experinece.

Thats good to hear Stormman

I just orderd a Loudmouth and it should be arriving on Tuesday so ill probably put it on Wed or so. Do you reccomend just cutting it off at the axle instead of removing the Panhard bar etc?

Glad you like yours, I cant wait to get mine!

Absolutely. Only thing I had to remove was the exhaust system itself. Why create more work for yourself. Looking towards the rear of the car I cut it just before the first bend near the rear-end. Dropped the hanger bolts at the tail pipe & she slid right out. Loosen to bolts at cat, and the intermwediate pipe sild right out too.

Good Luck, hope you enjoy it as much as I am.
