Wink Wet moist opti. Is taht bad?

car was randomly dying for no reason as if someone just shut off the key. Put in a new opti and it still did it. Took it to the dealer and they finally had it happen to them. Turns out a water pump hose was barely leaking coolant on top of the opti. Here is the question.... would a small amount of coolant building up cause a perfectly running car to all of a sudden act like crap and randomly die? Then after about 12 hours, the car starts right up and acts fine. Would that be due to the coolant evaporating and then the process repeating?

It sounds logical, but I'm no expert.

Thoughts gentleman?

very possible...the opti is known for seriously disliking any form of moisture. Since you have a 95 its a vented opti, so the time could be enough to allow the moisture to evaporate or get pulled out. Get that fixed ASAP and hope you didn't permanently damage the opti.

I agree. Opti spark is very sensitive to moisture. Like magius231 said, with it being a vented opti, it could of dried out allowing it to work properly.
