Opinions on early LT1 timing chain

I have a 94 with the early opti and cover. I had the motor bored/honed etc to .30 over and am putting le2 heads and a 231/239 .575/.585 lift cam in it. My builder included the Cloyes roller chain but it's the newer style and doesn't have the splines to drive the opti. Will the lunati lt1 replacement chain work in this motor? I don't really have the money to convert to a 95-97 cover and buy a new opti. I'd like to keep my 94 cover and spline driven opti. I'm just worried that chain won't hold. I don't plan to drag race, but it will get beat on.

A stock type set is about all you can do. Numerous people in your situation run them in their performance builds.
