This guy I know of around here(IL) locally used to have a '94 A4 Z28 which had a Flowtech muffler on it using the stock tailpipes and tips. The car also had Mac headers(no cat) and the LT4 Hotcam.

Basically, you could hear a small lope at idle through the muffler(not a loud idle, but not a quiet one either). And when he revved it up, it sounded very, very mean/deep(very loud too).

I was standind right behind his car during all this so he could show me what it sounded like.

Sounded great IMO.
