Question 4 qts. of oil for 6spd...correct?

Just changed my oil in the tranny yesturday and I used 4qts. of Mobil 1 synth. I just wanted to make sure that was the correct amount. Im about 99.9% sure it is but even after 4qts. there still wasn't any spilling out like I thought it would. Although the car was jacked up on that side so I could lay under there. Anyhow, just wanted to make sure.

Cool

8 pints

2 pints = quart

4 quarts should do it!

jacking up only 1 side when changing M6 fluid will alter the full level.

better to use 4 jack stands under the frame so the car is level.

rear diff fluid change also

oh yeah, i couldn't get all the 4 quarts in, about 3.8 went in, so maybe you overfilled yours by .2 quart

I changed mine a couple of weekends ago, same experience. Level on 4 jackstands, didn't quite take all four before it starting to trickle out the fill hole.

I believe the manual calls for 3.8 quarts.

Ok sounds good, Im guessing the .2 extra isn't going to hurt anything. I've heard of some who have just poored it in from up top. Thanks
