Will Replacing Wiper Motor Fix...

Ok, here's the problem. I was one of the nitwits that tried my wipers when they were still frozen down. So, the pass side wiper quit working. I was told on here to take the nut off and reinstall the arm, which worked for about a day.. then I bought arms off of Ebay, and installed them - that worked for a month... I have come to the conclusion that the peg that the arm installs onto is simply too stripped to hold ANY arm. Does replacing the motor replace that peg, or do I need a different part entirely? The motor itself is fine overall, because the driver's side arm is a trooper and never even hiccupped at all of this.

No the wiper motor assembly doesnt change those..
Did you CLEAN the die cast metal out of the splines on the shaft[shaft is harder metal than the arm]
Since it's a tapered shaft, cleaning the splines and tightening it on again should 'recut' into the softer diecast wiper arm?
I see no reason that it wouldnt recut and be OK ..
Just clean it well [wire brush etc.. ]the little ridges in the shaft part..

I would say try another set of arms. Mine stripped out so i took them off and then retightened them that worked for a month or so then they came loose. So i went and bought some new arms and put them on and they work fine now. I don't think the shaft can strip out really it is a harder metal like said earlier.

the same thing happened to me over the winter. As it turned out the nut had just come loose. Make sure its tightened as tight as it can go if that doesent work then either the not or bolt is stripped which is posseble.

Good luck toya,
