On the other hand it's easier to select the forums on my blackberry.
same here....

some of the things get no traffic at all......they should just be combined.

It is harder to navigate so I don't browse like I used to. I see other don't either b/c when I do look the last few post are over a weeks time instead of a day.

Summary

I'm not a fan of the new layout. I decided to put some thought to why (I gave it a chance and it's not just a "change" thing thats bothering me) and I think I've nailed it...

#1. Too much information in to little space.
#2. Font is too small.
#3. Summary information - which shows the latest postings for each sub forum - only now show for the major forum category. It makes it harder to see "whats going on" at a glance.

I haven't really gone to the site nearly as much since the change. This is the #1 web forum i go to and I really am trying to help here

Would it be possible to have sub forum like 2010 Camaro General where when you click on it from the main page you see the sub forums but instead of just having the most recently active thread you get like three or five, for the moment that seems to be all the that is getting posted in anyway.

Like this.

Interior
  • Change Holder---------------------5:09
  • Does anyone else love the interior--8:09
  • Cupholders------------------------7:09

Exterior
  • Tailights---------------------------3:45
  • Petition GM for a lighter...----------8:30
  • ..........

Exactly what I was thinking. Before you would see the latest post and it would at least get you into that section, which would normally lead to more browsing which leads to more posting and so on.

And has for Ph.D Good's suggestion; I'm not sure VBuliten (the software the forum is ran off) is capable of doing that yet. It would be a very nice feature though.

In my opinion the changes do make the boards much more organized and makes the site look alot cleaner, but it has also made the slower sections even slower and it seems like everything is just getting posted in the LT1/LS1 Motor section instead of there respective boards.
