Too many sub-forums......

Why are we separating forums into sub-forums? I don't think that there is so much traffic in these forums that we need to split them up. There's something like 6 different forums for the 2010 Camaro powertrain. It gets kinda frustrating when I have to move to another forum to read posts rather than just scrolling down the page. Alot of unnecessary keystrokes. Otherwise great site and keep up the good work.

Because after today, things are going to get pretty busy and categorization will be your friend.

I was mostly talking about the 2010 Camaro powertrain section. Even after the announcement I don't think we are going to need 6 sub forums for it. It's going to be hard to follow in the current setup.

Give it a chance. We are still tweaking them as necessary, and thanks for the input.

I was going to post the same thing here, I think there are too many sub-forums. I especially believe that the "Advanced Tech" should not be buried in the early gen section, much of the advanced type discussion will cover all generations of engines.

I do think that the 5th gen should take center stage if this site wants to grow and attract new Camaro owners, but I also think that some of the sub-forums for the older gen stuff should be combined as they do not get enough traffic on their own.

I likey..........if you click on the "header" for each individual section, it gives you the "old" look you are used to anyhow

I'm just hoping some of the older more active sites stay active with the new layout.

Some of the already slow sections have seemed to become even slower. With them all being so small, people only seem to visit what they need instead of browsing the boards.

I hate it myself. I can't even find posts anymore I was checking up on for updates so I'm not visting those sections.

With that in mind I would bet a lot of other people aren't visiting but their certain section, meaning even though they may have an answer to a tech question in 1 section they will no longer see it and the OP may not get an answer.

It's much better when more traffic sees your question, much better chance of getting an answer.

You guys do realize that no forums were eliminated, right? They are still right there and you don't have to scroll as much to see all of them.

I understand why the layout was changed, but I do have trouble navigating it as well. I think it's both a result of the way other boards are laid out (consistent with the old layout) and it's what most people are used to. I've still not got the hang of it.

On the other hand it's easier to select the forums on my blackberry.
