The three-character requirement on posts...
Was wondering if we could drop this down to two.
On several occasions, I've found that a simple "
" is the best response I can give to someone noticing a point I've made or posting a great picture/idea. I cannot do this since the colon and the D only constitute 2 characters. It'd be different if spaces were counted, but they're not.

The problem is the search index would get WAY too big. It is set at 3 characters because there are WAY too many unimportant two-letter words for it to index to be effiecient. Most of these people have no reason to search for. Is, do, at, etc...
So, what I do is type "
." and make the font color of the dot white when I want to leave just a smiley face

Yeah I understand the technical reason for limiting to 3 characters, but isn't there some way to limit indexing to keep common words from being indexed but still allow other more useful 2 character words to be used?
