Site continually freezes

It does not matter which time of the day or the night it is, whether I am on IE or Mozilla, or which of the 4 computer I have that I am on. The site freezes for up to 15 minutes and I have to go onto other sites while this site loads. This has been going on for months and I am wondering if something is going to be done to fix the problem? I have also had thesame problem with computers outside of this household, so I know it's not a problem on my end.

I've had that problem a LOT, too.

Re: Site continually freezes

My firefox quit working last night. So I started using IE again. Then all of the sudden this morning I get a page telling me IE 7 is available. Is it a coincidence or a plot my Microsoft?
IE 7 doesn't seem to be to bad. Alot of new features and many of them are what made firefox special. The plot thickens...

We'll fix it as soon as we can figure out what the problem might be.

At 4a.m. Eastern, the site freezes until ~4:10a.m. Eastern. Never before 4:10a.m. is it back up. I assumed it was just the site backing up files or something. It affects the chat as well. This happens EVERY night/day..whatever...and that's why I assumed it was some sort of routine maintenence or something.

And you are correct about that At 4am everyday the site runs it's daily backup. The site will go down for a few minutes while the databases are dumped to backup.

Haha..ok, well, that explains most of the problems I've experienced with the site. Once in a while the site is sluggish, but most of the time it's ok.

Re: Site continually freezes

I have trouble with pages loaded also. The site locks up, and if I wait a few minutes, and reload, it still does not move. Happens on all my PC's at any time. I am not sure if it is a DNS issue, or something on you guys end.

I must confess to having this issue many times a day, also. I'm just glad to know it wasn't just me.
