No, you should not be downloading anything. .PHP is the file extention, like .exe or .jpg. Many sites use that kind of web server system. Instead of running the search, it is trying to download the search page, so the browser does not know what to do with it. However, since most of the pages on the board are also .php, I am not sure why it is happening with that and that only.

Try a different browser or different computer and see if you get the same results.

Re: search function

Maybe you have your "Open With" menu set to "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"?

Re: search function

I'm not sure if there is an easier way, but if you right click on a file with that extension that you already have saved to your computer and select open with, Select "Choose Program". (Again, this is with Firefox)

This will bring up a window that has a bunch of programs from which you can choose. Go down and select your browser, then make sure the little box that says, "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" has a check in it. Then click "OK".

There is probably a much easier way to do this, but i don't know it.
