For Sale section

I was thinking that instead of having just 1 section of 'parts for sale', make 2 sections: 'aftermarket parts for sale', 'stock parts for sale'.

This may help filter what people are looking for in the parts section.

i have an idea for improving the parts FS section.

keep it liek it is but have tags you can add to your post that can be used for searching for stuff.

lets say you are posting a cam for sale you would select the internal engine tag.

now someone that is searching for cams would search under that tag.

We cam make prefixes for the For Sale forum like we have here in the site help and suggestion forum.

How about you guys start a list of prefixes for the for sale sections? Not too many to get confusing, but the major groups...enough to help make things easier.

can you search for threads by prefix?

the prefixes could be the same as the subforums for the for sale section (from when you changed the format)

Note the "Find Threads with Prefix" section. We currently only have it utilized here in this forum, but if we were to add prefixes for other forums, it would categorize them them by the forum names...since each forum can have sets of prefixes exclusive to that forum. Never mind trying to figure out what I just said, you will see once we add them.

You mean from the old classifieds system we tested a while back? Sure, but we can expand on that even more so.

This was planned for early next year, but there's no reason not to get started now.

That old list is long gone, but it wouldn't be hard to start from scratch.

And I am not sure if I want to be your friend.
