There seems to be a big increase in the pop up ads here recently, I know it's the advertisers that pay for this site and the ones that appear on the screen are fine. I have no problem with ads for car products like the Thunder ad's etc, I support them all the time and buy a lot of their products. But the pop up ads for all these non car related products are very annoying, I just wish this site could stick to the car related display ads on the screen. Just my $.02

You are not talking about the board right? There are no pop-up ads here on this message board. ZERO.

Elewhere on this site, there are a few, but we have never increased the frequency. Have you checked your system for spyware?

And as far a non-car related ads, we understand your point people here are interested in other things than cars.

As soon as I log in here each day I get hit with some green pop up for a mortgage co, and some other ad. Not sure how to check for spyware. Where else on the site are there pop up ads? I mainly just use the message board, sorry for the complaint.

or do you go to

and THEN go to the message board?

You need to install and use a program called AdAware. Do a google search on it, it is a free program and handy to keep around.

From the sounds of it, you don't have any sypware but you never know.

There are no pop-ups on this message board (once in a while there is a goof up and we get one on this board, but it is RARE and we fix it ASAP). There are some pop-ups on the rest of the site, but if you get them they should not appear again right away. We are working to eliminate those as well but it may take some time to find an alternate source of revenue to cover them.

I go to the rest of the site first, then click on the msg boards.

Not sure what the other ad is, but it usually has some seductive looking woman in it (it varies) not sure what it's for.

I'll have to check out that spyware program.
