Hey, Jason. Can we get something similar to this?

Oh, man, that's great! Thanks a lot. I'd kiss you if Dustin promises to look away.

What is it about this new functionality that you like better than the User CP?

No, I read the whole thread (twice now, to make sure I didn't miss anything). The only difference I see is that it shows the actual posts inline, whereas the User CP does not. I didn't see anyone say that they were looking for that specifically -- just for an easy way to find their posts. User CP does that.

It's one less step, and it shows all your messages is order instead of just your recently subscribed threads.

That's right. I don't subscribe to threads, so the User CP is pretty useless for that.

Why don't you subscribe to threads?

I never wanted to mess with it. You're constantly adding to the list, then, I can only assume, you have to constantly remove outdated threads. Unless they expire, of course.

I may be wrong, but this way is still less of a hassle.

Hassle? You don't have to remove anything. I'm probably subscribed to thousands of threads by now. Most of them fall by the wayside after a while (Funny Pictures thread being the exception), but I can go back and dig up older threads that have gone idle easily just by clicking the "View All Subscribed Threads" link at the bottom.

I have it set to subscribe by default when I post in a thread, and I turned off email notification, so my User CP is like Grand Central Station for me. It knows which threads have new posts since I last viewed them, and displays exactly that, every time. My browser bookmark goes directly to the User CP. I have a second bookmark to the New Posts search page as well.

It's not a "search", so it's faster than search-based tools like what Jason just set up. That also means you can hit it more than once every twenty seconds and you won't get denied.

If you get tired of a thread, it's a simple three-click process to unsubscribe, and then it'll never show up in your User CP again.

I find the combination of functionality provided by the User CP to be the best possible way to use the boards.

Why would I need to search more than once in 20 seconds?

It's a simple two-click process to see my posts.

Guys, this is not a debate forum. Everyone likes to use the site their own way. It is already done, use it however you wish.
