ZFX - man, did i get had
ZFX - man, did i get had
paid $20 for ZFX at ecklers
walked around to the side of the building to pick up my purchase at the customer purchase window and the lady handed me my ZFX package
inside were:
4 clear plastic bottles, total of about 9 cents
1 tiny tiny tiny tiny bottle with the mystery liquid inside, only half full.
damn ... $20 for about half a teaspoon worth of liquid. i guess i should stop bitching about the price of gas now.
on the plus side though, at least they packaged it to look like a "gift" ... that made me laugh a little.

That's the price no matter where you get it...it's only been out for 3 or 4 years now (nothing new). That little bottle should last two bottles of Z2/Z5.
When you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars developing a state-of-the-art product, you will probably feel like $20 is a fair price, too.

Re: ZFX - man, did i get had
You could have purchased Z-1 if price was an issue, as said there is enough ZFX in the container to treat 2 full bottles of polish, so it should last you a year or two at least.

I've read some reviews of Tropi-Care, and it seems it does not have any durability. But, use what you want.
ZFX is mostly a drying agent that will let you put a couple of coats of Z2 on without waiting. It's not necessary.

Re: ZFX - man, did i get had
The ZFX is an activator for the polish, it provides bonding to the paint and successive coats of polish. It provides for a harder more durable finish. It provides quicker drying and zero curing time to allow back to back coats of polish. It also improves the shine and swirl filling capabilities of Zaino.
What comes in the small vial is enough to mix with 2 bottles of polish. Only mix it when you plan to do a coat. For people who use it frequently it will still last them a long time. For the more casual user, who doesn't use the ZFX every time, it may last them 2-3 years.

My ZFX from 3 years ago started to gell last year so I bought new ZFX which I still have.
The small vial is deceiving, it goes along way when used correctly.
And since I don't have a garage & winter is 1/2 a year up here, my ZFX & Z-2 goes a very long way since I can only polish a few months out of the year!
