Which Zaino to use /Zaino questions
I'm gettin ready to order some more Zaino and was wondering which Zaino to use on the interior/dash? I have been using armor all protectant wipes, but saw some comments they cause cracking, Is this true? For my leather I've been using Meguiars Gold Class Leather Wipes, If anyone has used them, how are they compared to the Zaino leather care? I used to use Zaino on my Camaro, but I totaled that car. Now i have a 2001 Mustang and I wanted to clay it before I Zaino it. I have a store-bought claybar (I think it is Mothers). Can I use this instead of the Zaino one and start the Zaino process right after? I know that the claybars are all basically the same, but just wondering if it makes a difference because I'm using it with Zaino.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Well, it's true, Armor All is about the crumiest stuff you can buy for interior protectants. It has been known to cause or accelerate fading and cracking of plastic peices. I never touch the stuff....FWIW. I have pretty much stuck with Meguiar's interior protectant as it resists fading, cracking, and UV damage. I've used it for years on my 10y/o Camaro, and my dash still looks like new. I ocassionally use 303 Protectant which is superior in most respects, and I actually like it better, but it's a bit to costly for frequent use, especially when the Meguiar's works just as well. I have heard you can use the Zaino tire gloss on the interior, but I have never done so. I do love the Zaino Perfect Tire Gloss on the tires however!! I've never tried the Zaino leather products, as I don't own any cars with leathers seating at the time, but this may soon change.
I look forward to using the Zaino leather treatment, because I hear it's fantastic as well. I imagine the Meguiar's leather treatment is a good off the shelf product though.
Yes, you can definitely use the Mother's claybar before Zainoing. I like to use Z7 wash for the lube, not QD sprays. If you use some kind of spray or lube other than Zaino, you might want to wash with Z7 then hit it with a quick Z6 just before your first coat of Z.
Enjoy your Z'ing!!

You should always opt for a two part leather system, one product for cleaning and one for conditioning. The cleaners combined with conditioners like the Meguiars leather products are is just a trade off, how can you clean and condition at the same time? no one knows.
The Z-9 is the cleaner and the Z-10 is the conditioner. The Z-10 contains acutal leather oils and has the scent most people closely associate with an leather bomber jacket.
