Angry Zaino problems :(

I used Zaino for the first time Saturday...Brand new 2002 Z28. The Z5 took away a swirl I had...but I'm not getting that wet look like you guys get? Should apply more than one coat? I followed the directions to a T!

You should definatley apply more than one coat. After you are satisfied that you got all the scratches out, switch to Z2. That will help some.

Thumbs up

The more coats of Zaino you add, the better it will get... really improves after 3 coats...

When you switch to Z2 you'll notice a higher shine level also, over the Z5...

Yeah, I see, I did one coat of Z5 and then one coat of Z2. Should I wipe off the Z5 before applying the Z2?

Yes. Definately wipe off the Z5... also, if you are not using ZFX, you need to let it 'cure' for about 6-8 hours before applying your next coat of Z5/Z2...

The only thing you do not wipe off before applying polish is the Z1...

Yeah, I'm kind of ticked about that as well...I just got the stuff Friday and it looks like I got the non-ZFX stuff. What gives? Are they trying to give away the old stuff?

Nah... everything they make is still current, and has it's purpose... ZFX is an additive, and costs extra... $20 I think...

Yeah, ZFX is brand new... just release maybe 2 weeks ago or so... You can still get it, and just start using it... I think you are only supposed to mix up small amounts though, because the mix will become unusable after a day or so... that's why it is an additive, and not mixed in with the Z2/Z5 from the factory...

Have you read the instruction sheet that comes with every order?? if you lost it, check out the web-site. this stuff is incredible, I ordered the ZFX the day I saw it was available and clean a few cars a week for extra $$$. This stuff is incredible. If you have trouble with applying Zaino, a couple guys on the board are Z-experts and do a great job with tips and tricks here.

I think I just need to apply more coats...one was shinier than any other brand I have ever used...but I'm lacking that wet look you folks get...

OK, here's a simple question for ya. Did you Z1 the whole car before you started? If so, did you try to buff the Z1 off or apply Z5/Z2 on top of it? Z2/Z5 are meant to be applied directly on top of Z1.

Just checking as the Z1 is a very important step towards getting that mirror shine.

as said above, the depth comes from the addition of layers, the more layers the better the depth.
