Re: Zaino/NXT side by side/microfiber

All of the roadfly wax tests are Zaino-biased. Glanz wax lasts 4-6 months EASILY. I LOVE how they test these products on a test panel with crappy paint, scuffs, and swirls. Most of the reason beading and slickness decreases is because wash shampoos leave a residue on the car, so they're not judging it correctly.

Just a point I would like to make out to all the people who refuse to order a polish/wax off the net.

Go to a autostore. Do you buy your appearance mods there? Neon shifter *****(I had to go to 3 stores to find a non-neon lit shifter ****), crappy "No fear" graphix, winshield wiper nozzle lights, Altezzas, universal seat coverst ath fit like a$$.

YOu get what you paid for.

As for zaino durability...

I zainoed my car in February 2004 as in almost 8 months ago. I have washed my car maybe 6-8 times in that period. I have put ~8,000 miles on the car and I have not washed my car in over 1.5 months.

SInce my last wash car has been through 3 hurricanes, experienced sustained winds/rains as high as 100 mph and gusts up to 120. Been through 2 tropical depressions, I have autocrossed it, put a good 2,000 miles including 2 roadtrips. Visit my townhouse that is being built at least 1-2 times a week in a construction area, park in a sand lot on campus, Numerous rains storms and my car is a 100% outside car in Florida.

Took these pictures 5 minutes ago. I am still happy with the stuff

Good mirror effect on my apartment building.

here is another one

How much NXT does one use in 8 months vs. my 3 coats of Zaino? And the hassle of ordering it on the net, what? I don't leave home, don't ahve to wait behind Ricers buying octane booster and neon shift *****, at the rate I am going I might have to order it again in 3-4 years, and I think thats assuming it goes bad, not that I run out

While your at autozone pick me up a set of bolt on pedals that glow in the dark.

Oh my god. You people need to shut the **** up. Hopefully you'll wake up one of these days and realize that you're going out of your way to DEFEND A ****ING SEALANT. IT'S A SEALANT.....NOTHING MORE. JUST LIKE KLASSE SG AND NXT. THEY'RE ALL SEALANTS. SAY IT WITH ME......

Calm down... we are just using it as a generic word. I still call Pepsi "a coke". Motor and engine, Rims/wheels, etc... If you want from now on I will just call it "Sh|t I put on my paint to make it look shiney"

I always think of Zaino as a synthetic polymer. Calling it just a sealant doesn't do it justice. It does seal, but it is also a final coat too. Personally the protection it provides is the most important thing to me. I haven't had a bug or bird stuff etching since I began using it 6 years ago.

EXACTLY honestly thats my favorite thing about it, how ieasy it is to keep the car clean. It rains every other day, we have pollen seasons and my car is NBM and outside 24/7 so its exposed to the elements. But I do less work to keep it clean then when I used to wash my old car every week and wax it once a month.

Want another good example? I zainoed my rims in February, I haven't used anything but soap and water from the same bucket I wash my car with, and only "cleaned" my rims twice like that in 8 months, I have almost zero dust on my wheels.

Ugh...you people just don't get it. "synthetic polymers" ARE sealants. It's just another way of describing a sealant. It's a way of classification.

Re: Zaino/NXT side by side/microfiber

I think for the most part I dont want to use zaino is because my paint is complete ****. it was wet sanded and came out with tons of scratches even after buffing them out. Plus i heard that on my car it would look like plastic, no thanks! The good thing with NXT is it does what I want it to. Gives a great shine, hides scratches, and is perfect for my car. My car is garage kept so NXT lasts a long time for me.

NXT ROCKS ! I have a polo green Z28 and just applied it for the first time last night. Love the fact that all the fine scratches just disappeared and the finish got so dark that the car actually looks black at night. It was like getting a new paint job, plus it went on very easily and came off without any dust whatsoever. It was worth the money and I'll use it again every chance I get.

That's one of the great things about NXT...it darkens the paint alot, but still doesn't mute metallics.

Check out this thread...the first few pics are great because you can see how much NXT darkened the paint.
