Zaino/NXT side by side/microfiber

Anyone have pics of a Zaino car next to a NXT car or two close ups?

I am thinking about going to Zaino once I take my car off of daily driver status and get some paint issues fixed.

Also, is ultra microfiber better than regular microfiber?

Unless I really take my time and do a polish coat and then NXT I still get swirl marks in the wax sometimes. Maybe I need ultra microfiber????

The big difference is that Zaino will outlast NXT by months.

Re: Zaino/NXT side by side/microfiber

NXT usually lasts around 3 months, and it's 1. cheaper, 2. easier to use, 3. much more versatile and compatible with other products.

Microfiber won't scratch your paint...."ultra" microfiber is just a different name. www.exceldetail.com has my favorite microfibers and they're very cheap - the blue 16x24's are my favorite.

What color is your car? NXT will look better on darker colors, especially black. Try polishing out those swirls with Meguiar's ScratchX.

*EDIT* - I didn't see your sig...stick with NXT. You can use Meguiar's #7 glaze under it to hide the swirls if you wish. NXT is one of the best sealants I've seen on black. Very deep and wet. Zaino will make the car look like plastic.

DFtowel.com has some good info on microfibers as not all are created equal.

3 months for NXT, I hear it last like 2-3 weeks, from several people...

As for Zaino...

Pics over a 6-7 month period on a 100% outside NBM car in FL.

NXT looks great but from waht my freinds said an what I have heard on the net it doesn't last.

That's because your friends don't know how to judge durability. Most Meguiar's waxes/sealants sheet water, not bead. So, when you see the car stop beading, that is NOT an indication of the wax or sealant wearing off. Zaino usually stopped beading for me after the 2nd or 3rd wash....but that doesn't indicate it wearing out even though Zaino beads. There are too many factors involved.....hard water, car wash shampoo leaving residue, etc.

But on the same note, for the amount of coats you get out of a bottle of Zaino + the extended durability, the costs even up pretty good.

fair enough, but NXT is easier to get. From what i have seen they are both top quality waxes. I have never persoanlly used zaino just because i dont feel like ordering wax of the net.

Well, let's see. You can spend $20+ on 8oz of Zaino. You can spend $12 on 18oz. of NXT. NXT spreads easier, especially via porter cable. It also wipes off easier, can be used over glazes, etc. Now even if you're getting twice the durability w/Zaino, you're paying half as much for twice as much product w/NXT.
Plus it looks awesome on black/dark colors.
Get what I'm sayin?

8oz bottles of Z2 are a mere $13 my friend
And you use half as much per coat.

I finally tried out NXT. Applying it at thin as Zaino didn't do squat. I had to use twice as much NXT as I do Zaino to get the same results. Okay product, but it didn't impress me. I did like how it knocked down the swirls though.

You don't use half as much per layer. 8oz bottles of Z2 are a mere $13 plus $8 shipping = $21.

Face it, NXT is more readily available, looks better on darker paints, is easier to use, and is far more versatile.

PS - IM me on AIM when you give up, because you ain't gonna win
