Re: Z-2 Pro

Dawn will not remove Zaino and Dawn is never again used on the paint after your first coat of Zaino, Dawn plays no part in the Zaino process, the only reason to wash your car with Dawn is to remove other waxes and polishes before your first coat of Zaino as Zaino can only bond to bare paint.

Put Z-2 Pro on top of what you already have on the car's paint.....

Re: Z-2 Pro

Z2 Pro has been out for a good while now, and there are VERY FEW complaints from anyone.

If you already have Zaino on the car, I would give it a good wash, clay, and Z2 Pro.

Re: Z-2 Pro

I have 28 coats of Zaino on the car right now .

I thought the Clay Bar was used before any Zaino hits the paint . I can Clay on top of Zaino ?

Re: Z-2 Pro

First off, you don't have 28 coats of anything on your paint.

Second, you should clay 1-2 times a year as needed. Claying will remove a little Zaino but should be no sweat if you are reapplying.

How will it remove a little Zaino when you said I don't have any coats on my car ?

Re: Z-2 Pro

I didn't say you don't have anything. I said you don't have 28 coats, but since you've got it all figured out, I guess I'm not needed anymore.

Re: Z-2 Pro

Zaino does wear down over time. You may have applied 28 coats, but due to weathering of the Zaino you don't have a full 28 coats. Zaino has great durability but it isn't permanent.

Claying does remove a small amount of the Zaino.

Re: Z-2 Pro

I heard for every 5 coats a year put on , you lose 1 coat due to weathering . I was just wondering if claying can be done on top of Zaino . That answer is yes I see .

ZaneO ... you said "you don't have 28 coats of anything on your paint." That's why I said "How will it remove a little Zaino when you said I don't have any coats on my car ?" Even if 27 coats wear off , I still have 1

But anyways ... thankx for all the info . Gonna try the Z2 Pro tomorrow .

Re: Z-2 Pro

There is no law that determines how your protection will wear...you really can't quantify it.

Just because I said you don't have 28 coats, doesn't mean you don't have any...not too hard to understand.

Even if you have one coat, claying will still remove some.

Re: Z-2 Pro

I just finished putting the 1st coat of Z2 Pro on the Z . To me , it's a little bit more slicker than Z2 . Shine is about the same . Hope that will change when I put more coats on . Although I can't see it looking any better than it does now . Everyone thinks I had the car repainted . They just can't believe it's the original paint .
