about how much would it cost to paint a 94 camaro bumper at a body shop

 

i might buy this bumper it would be cheaper and i wont have to fix a dent in the bumper ad it comes pre painted

if it comes pre-painted thatd be your best way out, i just got my front bumper repainted recently and it was $250, granted that was at the biggest name body shop around here, but i also took the bumper off and took it down there too them... to think i coulda had a new one painted for less than that...

 

the problem with having something pre-painted or taking it off and having it painted, is there is no blend of the paint. There is no color matching that is 100% perfect match. The computerized high dollar camera can get it really close but it the is a difference where one panel ends and the other begins. The best thing to do is brin the whole car in, have the color blend into the hood and fenders, and reclear coat all three panels. Also, if your bumper (front or back) has a dent, you will need a new one anyways if you want it back to normal. There is no way to fix a dent on a poly bumper.

 

I got quoted $560 last year to take off the bumper, strip it down, prime, paint, & clear, I thought that was wayyy too much so I have done nothing about it

 

i wouldn't say that is way too much. You are talking a lot of labor. I don't know why they would take it off but even if you didn't it would still be expensive.

 

A little more than a 93, but cheaper than a 95
