Angry windows

everytime i wash my windows, there are permanent spots that you can see when the sun shines on that part of the glass. I can never get my windows clean . Also, when the sun is shining on the rear window, i can see streaks, i clean the window, (inside and outside), and i cant get them off, they either get worse, or new ones form. Whats the best way to get the windows 100% clear, so they look new?!

Also, what should i clean the black seals that rubs on the windows as they go down, so they dont leave streaks or residue on the windows? thanks!

Re: windows

Use Zaino Z12 glass polish, Autoglym glass polish, or Diamondite to polish out the marks on the outside, and use a sealant of your choice to protect (NXT, Zaino, Klasse, Poorboys, etc). I just wash and dry them like I do my paint. I use Eagle One 20/20 on the insides.

Re: windows

yeah get Zaino Z-12...when i first bought my car it had water spots all over the tops and windows and it looked aweful. The Zaino did a great job of getting them to go away, better than anything else ive used.

Re: windows

Sounds like the spots you're getting may be the result of washing your car in direct sunlight. On occasion, I've washed a car while it was sitting in the sun and warm, and the result was water spots on the windshield. I usually let the car sit either in the shade, or the garage at least an hour before washing.

I haven't tried the Zaino polish, or any polishs yet, but for glass cleaning, I really like 'Stoners' glass cleaner. It does a very good job of removing film, etc.

Re: windows

It's a brand. What grade are you in?

Stoner's Invisible Glass is good for frequent cleaning. Zaino Z12 is an abrasive polish that should be an annual ordeal.

303 Aerospace protectant. Once it is dry, it won't streak or smear on the windows.

Re: windows

I'll have to vouch for Zaino getting off spots. Stoners stays under the seat for regular cleaning as well.

Secret: Zaino Z12 on the inside of the windshield and you'll never get "goo" on it again, at least, not for a year or two (just reapply).

Re: windows

Depends on his dashboard. The "goo" accumulates there because the plastic "breathes". That's what causes the streaks on the inside of the windshield.

Re: windows

is invisible glass good on the inside or just the outside? If it causes a film on the inside, what would you guys recommend for the inside? Also, should I use Rain-x?
