I have blackout covers on my camaro, but thats just not the look we want for the trans am. Ive seen painted tailights on a car at the car show, but the owner didnt know what they used. she made it sound like they just used paint. it looked VERY clean, and different. the covers just seem to look a bit tacky to me.

how much to mix? 50/50? 10/90? thanks for the tip. I'll try that. I have some spare tail lights from warranty replacements (diff. kinds of cars) to test these on, so done worry. I'll post my diff. results when I get around to trying them.
thanks guys. anyone else?

pour some clear in a mixing cup and add just enough black to get the color you want. Be sure to add your hardener for the clear and reducer for the black. It shouldn't take much

my students seem to have pulled off something crazy.. they took the tail lights apart and sprayed model car spray tint on the inside and put them back together.. i guess it would work just as well to spray it on the outside of the lights and clear them.. they claim you can find the stuff at any hobby shop and it looked pretty good..

the inside would be awesome, cause it wouldnt ever get chiped or scraped. and it could buffed to high heaven, the only problem with that is getting them sealed good after getting them apart. condensation in lights really sucks. good idea though. I'll have to try that first on the extra taillights I got.
