Water Spots

Well my dad and I have the same problem. Both of our cars are red, after washing, there are always water spots. What do you all do to get rid of them?

This may seem like a stupid question, but are you both drying the cars immediately after washing them, or letting them dry naturally? Here's a few tips....wash in the shade, not sun to prevent water from rapidly drying on the surface; after washing immediately dry the car with an Absorber, cotton towels, whatever you think works best; don't let the cars sit with standing water after washing, especially if they are in the sun; for faster drying, use the water hose trick and let a steady stream of water (without any nozzels) flow across the car at a low angle....this will actually pull a bit of standing water off the surface before drying. Basically, the longer you let the water stand on the surface, the greater the chances of spotting. Of course, the sun will cause water to dry too quickly causing spotting, so work in the shade if possible.
