water spots
water spots
in my area i have horrible water. Everytime i wash my car i always get water spots no matter how fast i dry it. I tried mr.clean auto dry spot free but that was junk. Some one at one of the cars shows told me to get a water softner for my house to get rid of the hard water. Has anyone tried it? they are kind of expensive. The guy told me he got the water softner from Http://www.apswater.com/shopaff.asp?affid=15. Let me know what you think i might stop by there just because it is local.
I don't know about the water softener. I have bad car washing water here too. I use the California Water blade first then I use the Absorber to finish it. THe water blade is good so you don't have to wring the absorber out ever 1/4 of the car. It also gets those bulk standing water areas out of the way, mostly the windows and t-tops.
If you have any dried on spots, use the Mother's detail spray.

This does get rid of water spotting, not cheap, but either is trying to get the water marks off.

^ If you wanted to hook something like that up to a dedicated wash hose, go for it. But water spots can be removed w/ low funds...Use a Detail spray. It would get old quick doing it once or twice a week..
Wash and dry the car in the shade so it doesn't expedite water drying. I have bad water here. Like I said, I water blade it then use the absorber. You can also try that wax as you dry detail spray. I tried it once, it was a while ago, came w/ the new absorber at the time. Don't really remember it too well.
Found a neat wash tips link. I picked up a couple things..
