First off, keep the wax off the plastic parts. Second off, amonia works great. It will strip the wax off plastic, as will dawn,.

Also, WD40 and a toothbrush will remove the white wax residue from your plastic parts.

Bug and tar remover also works pretty darn well for dried wax on black plastic.
