Tried wet sanding my headlights and it's not working out
A few members have done it and it looks great from what I've seen.
My '98 is kinda cloudy so I bought 1000grit wet sand paper and tried it out in a cornor at the top so it's not really visible, I plan to pick up a plastic polish later.
It didnt do much other then scratch them up more
I did wet the lense good with water and worked it back/forth/up/down like normal sanding.
Am I missing something?

yes 1000g is kinda ruff, now folow up with 1500 and then 2000 then it will be kinda smooth. then you need to buff it with a power tool and a buffing pad with plastic polish. drill or bench grinder, die grinder ect... then it will loook like new.

Yes. What he said...1000 even tho it doesnt feel like much, is still kinda rough. When you are only trying to get rid of cloudyness u dont need a very tough grit. Rub it out with 1500 or like he said with 2000 and then go get some polish and buff the headlight out with a foam pad!
