Question Tire Gloss...

I have a black car, and everytime I use tire gloss, the next day, my door panels and quarter panels are covered in spots from the Tire Gloss that resemble dark water spots.

Does anyone know of a tire Gloss which will not do this? I use the Eagle One spray-on tire gloss.

I find the tire foam works much better than the liquid sprays in terms of overspray. Something you could try is to take a piece of carboard, and bend it around to fit in the wheel well. If you have about 6" of overhang from the cardboard while you go around the wheel, that should block the excess from finding it's way on to your paint.

Talking

I think what he is talking about is as the wheels turn (at speed) the gloss flys off onto the body of the car.

I have found that the Turtle Wax tire wax works really well, and doesn't fly off. It is almost as glossy as the Eagle Wet Look.

I stopped using any kind of tire foam a few years back when I had my artic white camaro. I found that the tire foam splatter that was deposited on lower body panels would yellow, and if left on long enough, would spot the paint. I had a few that I could not compound out.
I am now using Armor All ultra shine on all our vehicles. I wipe off the excess and allow the tires to dry, which means less splatter on the car.

Well i use this stuff called black magic... the dpary works really well and has a high gloss but the only time it has ever come off was on the back of the tire and ends up tooking like tar. It also come in wipes and i bet thoses would work just as well and wouldn't spray off! but i haven't tried them yet

Don't spray it directly on the tire. Spray a decent amount on a rag and use that to apply it. Then let it dry for a bit.

My car is white.. I used to get the black splatter crap all over the place until I started doing it this way.

Hope that helps.

I agree 100%. Use an applicator to apply it. It lasts for days and looks "new". It also doesn't get "brown tire" from debris blowing while the car sits still. I've tried foams (Armor All, 2002 and STP) and that Black Magic stuff(it was worst for "brown tire),and out of all those brands, Meguiar Endurance works the best. HIGHLY recomended.

Never heard of it till now. Just looked up the site - Their polish looks rockin. Awesome shine. I'll need to look where to find it.

Hey Casper, There are few Zaino distributors in the D/FW area. look up at LS1.com in the Texas forum. Zaino ROCKS!!! I love it and never go with anything else.

I use Meguiar Endurance too!!!!!!
