stripes on the spoiler

stripes on the spoiler

ok when i bought the car it didnt have them, but when the car is clean you can see where someone has racing stripes on the spoiler... is there a way to get this out with out repainting it??

I'm guessing it had vinyl stripes on it. They kept the paint under them from fading while the rest of the paint did. If this is the case then there is nothing that can be done but re-paint it.

Try a polishing compund to even out the finish before repainting.....

I agree...try anything you can but the fact still stands. If the paint is faded, there is no way to blend it. Some polishing compounds and waxes will "brighten up" the clear so it will bring out the color. In reality, the color don't change at all but maybe the brightening will help you out. This is all under the assumption that what I originally said what is wrong with it is true. We haven't heard back from you to know for sure. If you could give some more details, it might help a bit.
