I just had my rear bumper cover refinished.I will replace the pinstripes at a later date, so I treated the new paint to a couple coats of Z2. The question is: will the Z2 prevent the self stick adhesive on the strip kit from making a good bond? Should I remove the Z2 with Dawn dish soap first? Keven, anyone? Thanks Matt.

 

Ok, first off, Dawn does not remove Zaino and Dawn is never used on the car after you have applied your first coat of Zaino, Dawn's only purpose was to strip paint of oils left by other kinds of waxes.

You will need to prep any area on paint (no matter what kind of wax or polish you are using) with rubbing alcohol before applying any kind of decal or stripe.
