Polish before wax, always. Polish is abrasive, and would remove wax.

You should polish if this is the first time in a year or a long time, and then wax. After this, you won't need the polish, just continue with your wax until you feel like starting all over again, which could be at six months or up to one year.

i like to wash after polishing also just to make sure theres no dust/residue left so the sealant/wax can bond good
