removing minor scratches in glass?
My drivers side window has a bunch of little scratches on the outside from the damn window gasket that i had to replace... when i run my nails across them i can not feel them at all, but they are pretty noticable when the light is reflecting off the window or after if gathers dust... is there a way to remove these?
You might try a glass polish, our version is the Zaino Z-12 Glass Polish.

Ehh, direct links don't work. Go to www.eastwoodco.com and do a search for glass polish.

I ordered the polishing compound and wheel from Eastwood Co. It should be here in the next few days....I'm gonna try it on some very minor windshield (wiper) scratches. Whoever owned my car first didn't change out wiper blades in time so I get to try to remove the scratches....I'll post when finished if it works.

I'm also curious if this stuff works or not. I have the same scratches on the outside of my windows.
You say the window gaskets/sweeps are the problem? I thought it was the white plastic guides that caused the problem?

Ehh, I tried some Z12 and it didnt do squat for the fine scratches in my windshield (it works pretty good on waterspots but thats not why I bought it).
Anyways try looking for some stuff called "Cerium oxide" its a powder that when mixed into a paste supposedly take out fine scratches with considerable elbow grease.
Its normally used to polish jewlery stones and its fairly cheap from what I've seen.
I havent tried it myself (yet) but it seems to work well on aquariums so I'll give it a shot eventually.
