Rattles and creaks?

I didn't know where to insert this so I am sorry if this is the wrong forum. Are Camaros known for having a lot of rattles and creaks? I've heard that the interior is kinda cheap and after a while gets loose and stuff?

I figured I'd ask the guys in the know (you own these cars after all). Please be honest. I owe you one. Thanks.

No more so then a Mustang. However, if one has this problem a set of subframe connectors really help to reduce alot of the rattles and such. My car has 40k miles on it and it doesn't rattle much at all. The drone from the exhaust is really the only thing that can sometimes cause a slight vibration from the center console.

Lightbulb A few areas.

I get T-Top rattles - you can bend the mounting brackets to temporarily stop it, but it just seems to be the way it is w/ T-Tops.

I get some bushing squeaks (?) in cold weather - supposedly a shot of silicone will cure that.

Other than that, nothing that really comes to mind interior-wise.

I guess that flimsy plastic they use doesn't have enough weight to really squeak well !

Use sound deadener for your interior.

I have 150 sq. ft. on order and plan on doing my whole car. Lots of serious stereo people use it to help with the sound, but it will stop from hearing all those creaks groans, road, tire, engine noise.

I am going to post how it did for me when I am done next week.

Hey all,
I too am noticing a bunch of rattles. Mostly from the door panels. My interior door lock ***** are rattling like crazy! I just ordered 100 sq ft of b-quiet extreme sound deadener. I am hoping this will solve a lot of the noises inside my car. As for the door lock *****, I am hoping to tighten them down once I have the panels off. Anyone else notice the rattles from the door locks? Thanks,
Dan

It's been my experience that the materials inside the Mustang feel cheaper, but the materials inside f-body's tends to loosen up and rattle around quite a bit moreso.

Neither car is particularly well-made, but I think the Mustang has the edge. If you want good quality in a sports car then the C5 or a used Toyota Supra make probably the most sense if you can afford the extra $$.
