Rain and cars

Right now it is raining all time the time and I was wondering if putting my car in the garage after it rains and not drying it off will harm the paint/clear coat in any way.

No. In fact rain will do very little harm to your car. The clearcoat paint is extremely durable(perhaps the best paint system yet for cars). One thing though, I would not wash in rainwater, because it can be slightly acidic depending on what area you are in.

The next time you take it out to wash it, soak it real good with tap water, and use a ph balanced car wash, and it will be as good as new.

You may get some spotting depending on where you are located (in an area with heavy acid rain or not) or you may not. Very hard to say...
