Product Review: Meguiar's Professional #26 Wax
Hey everyone,
Just thought that I would give you fellow car detailing enthusiasts a little product review
The product is Meguiar's Mirror Glaze 'The Professional' line Hi-Tech Yellow Wax #26. Even though I just applied this wax, I give it a thumbs up for it's shine already. It's an outstanding deep, wet shine, that I see as comparable to the Zaino. As for durability, well, only time will tell
Just thought that I'd share!!!
Regards,
Allen

I've used #26 for several years, and it's a decent local alternative, but has several drawbacks: lots of heavy solvents, bright white dried residue in cracks, can be a PITA to buff, must be reapplied every few weeks to keep up a perfect shine, causes yellowing of the finish. The wax itself has decent durability, but the shine will slowly fade after each wash or rain storm. Meguiar's waxes are good until you start experimenting and see there are better choices. If you're looking for a local carnauba wax, I'd highly suggest you find some S100 (same as P21S). Extremely easy to use, deep wet shine, decent durability, no white residue.
Compared to Zaino, #26 looks rather dull IMHO.... It really looks nothing like Zaino. When I first used Zaino and stripped my old Camaro from it's Meguiar's, the car looked totally different. The difference was very distinct to me. Have you used Zaino on your finish to compare the two? I don't regret using Meguiar's years ago, but I don't think I'd ever use the #26, #7, GC, etc, again.... After you use it for a while and the excitement wears off, I'll bet you'll think the same.
