Pretty deep scratches

There are several fairly deep scratches on the SS, mostly from the stupid dog jumping on it one time. Im agraid no scratch remover product would be able to help me, so Im afraid I will probably have to take it to a body shop to get it sprayed. How much would something like that cost? The main damaged area is right behind the drivers side door, but there are a couple smaller scratches in other places. Also would it be advisable to get the car buffed while I was at it?

I would try a product like 3M Scratch and Swirl Remover first before going to a body shop, if the scratches are through the clear coat then you will have to get the area painted, just make sure the body shop you use is a good one, buffing a black car can be a disaster if you do not know what you're doing.

Which product number would be the best to get? Ive read several places that you can probably have NAPA order it for you. Also, do you just apply it with a cotton cloth? Im imagine it would be a good idea to just apply it to the whole car if I go that route, is that right?

Napa, Auto Zone or Pep Boys should have it, you can just do the scratches, or the whole car, you can use it by hand but for the car you will want to use a buffer, if you have never buffed a car you may want to have this done, doing it wrong can hurt your paint.

Ive never buffed before, so that probably wouldnt be a good idea. I imagine I could just take it to a body shop to get that done.
