Hi,
Just wondering who else loves this color. I had a red 98Z and every other Camaro old or new I saw was red. I think black is the only color more popular then red. I can't complain about red though, I've won my share of shows including Super Chevy twice. Thanks for replying.

Not me, mine is RED, but I know one guy here in Minneapolis who has the Sunset Orange. He is selling it, however, to buy a 35th Anniversary Z. I never thought I'd like that color but his is pretty sharp looking!

I don't have that color. But if I had a LS1 powered 2001 or 2002 model car, you could bet your *** that SOM would be all over it. That is a very sweet color. Before I picked up my 1997 SS with 9400 original miles, I was strongly cosidering picking up a 2001 SOM Firehawk. Anyways, good luck on that beautiful color.

I have a SOM SS. at first I was trying to pick from black, blue, and SOM. but when I finally saw a som I knew that I had to have that color. it is rare and it just looks bad ***. I have had only one person who said that they did not like the color. but everyone else has liked it. I have some pics of my car, just see my sig.

That might be kind of hard, seeing as how they only offer the anny package with the SS package!! It sucks, but that's the way it is!!

 

Sunset Orange Metallic was the first color on my list, red was the second. I didn't want an auto, so i got a red m6 ss.

 

I bought a 2002 Navy Metallic Blue Z28 and my wife bought a 2002 SOM Avalanche. That color is sweet and that truck just turns heads...is it the truck or my wife????

I wanted something that not everyone had, the color just made it stick out a little more in my opinion...especially to the cops. When I saw the SOM at the dealer for the first time it was on a V6 and I loved it. There was no question in my mind, the day after Christmas 2000 I ordered my 2001 SOM SS. To this day, except at car shows, I have only seen one other SOM SS on the road. Happy holidays

Well, seems my views are WAYYY different from other peeps. My fav color is black, but i guess im biast. I have only seen 1 other SOM camaro roaming my streets, and isnt at the top of my list. I don't think its ugly, but if it wasnt original, it would be nothing. Just my .02.

I just picked up my 2002 SOM Camaro last week. I factory ordered it, so of course, the color was at the top of my list. When I looked at all of the color samples, the orange really stood out to me. I had never seen the color on a car before, so when I picked it up I was very pleased to see how much better it looked in person. It's BEAUTIFUL!!

 

Andy, is it a V6, Z or SS?

It's a V6. When I first started looking at Camaros, I wanted a Z, but the insurance in Jersey is in outer space. It's my very first brand new car, and I love it!!
